The last one and by far the grossest, is the poop deck. This is gross because sailors would stick their bum off the deck and go POOP!
When they were getting for their voyage, they had to get lots of food such as salts, pork, and other salted meats. They would bring about 5000 gallons of water and two times as much beer. One of the down sides about being on a galleon was that the food was disgusting. Have you ever had hard bread? Your bread was probably not as hard as the ones on the galleon. The bread was so hard that one could not even chew it and remember this was real bread. If you were not were of that much importance, your food would hardly be ever cooked. When they did have it cooked, it would be boiled but only on the days the weather was not active. Although this all seem bad, not everybody had it like this. The captain had live animals on board. These animals were for fresh meat, milk, cheese, and butter for the captain. Sometimes, a cook was provided with a special oven which the captain could cook food on board. This cook was only for the captain.
